Reiki involves the channeling of energy through an attuned practitioner to
their client; and is premised on the philosophy that there is a universal energy
or “healing” energy that exists within all living organisms, effectively giving the
body the capacity to heal itself.

A typical Reiki treatment involves a practitioner following a pattern of hand
positions resting, without pressure, on the body. The hand positions rest on
each of the seven energy points or “chakras”, and/or the area of the body that
the practitioner intuits requires energy the most.

Reiki promotes deep relaxation, natural healing and improved energy flow.



Therapeutic Touch is derived from a combination of several ancient healing practices and, like Reiki, is based on the concept of a healing energy. Our bodies, minds, emotions and intuitions form this energy field or “aura”, and when the aura is out of balance or blocked, illness may set in. When in good health the aura is balanced and well ordered, affording us the enjoyment of positive feelings of well-being.

A Therapeutic Touch treatment involves the exchange of healing energy between the practitioner and client, and employs the use of non-invasive hand movements by the practitioner to facilitate healing. The primary goal of Therapeutic Touch is the restoration of harmony and balance to the client.

Therapeutic Touch promotes relaxation, the acceleration of recovery, and the enhanced functioning of the immune system.
