Homeopaths treat their clients either acutely
or constitutionally, depending on the determined needs
of the client. An acute method would be used to treat
such maladies as: the common cold, hay fever, menstrual
problems, etc.; while a constitutional methodology would
be employed to pursue deeper issues within the person
and improve their overall well-being. An initial homeopathic
consultation is typically 1.5 hours long, and involves
the practitioner gathering information from the client
about their symptoms and their person as a whole. Subsequent
follow-up consultations would be a 1/2 hour in length,
occurring every 4-6 weeks, until the client is back
on the path to good health. The homeopathic process
is highly individualized.
