Maxine Featherstonhaugh, RMT

Maxine graduated from Kikkawa College and became a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in 2003 and has worked from her home clinic ever since. She loves what she does and looks forward to helping clients feel better every day.  In 2016, Maxine returned to Kikkawa to teach their business course to student massage therapists.

Since graduating from massage school Maxine has taken courses in many modalities including Homeopathy, Hypnotherapy, Reflexology, Therapeutic Touch, Ear Candling, Hot Stone Massage, CranioSacral, Reiki and Acupuncture.  Much of what she has learned is incorporated into her massages, but at the end of the day massage therapy is where her heart lies.

Maxine is a former member of the Canadian Sport Massage Therapist Association (CSMTA) and held the positions of Secretary and President of the Ontario Chapter.  Through her involvement with the CSMTA she had the opportunity to volunteer at the 2015 PanAm Games and worked with the Maccabi Canada Men's Open Basketball team before they went to the Maccabi Games in Israel in 2017.  She also a member of the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario (RMTAO).

While she loves her job, Maxine's true love is running.  She has run 42 marathons since 2003 (including Boston 3 times!) injury free and owes much of that to having regular massages herself.  She is also an avid motorcycle rider, skier and huge Raptors fan!
